About
A story filled with notes
Born in 1962, Jérôme Lebaillif was exposed to a wide range of musical styles from a very young age by his mother, a discerning music lover and classical music enthusiast. With her, he discovered a vast universe encompassing genres as diverse as pop-rock, international hits, film scores, world music, and more. He began studying classical guitar at the age of nine at a conservatory, followed by piano a year later. As a teenager, he witnessed the arrival of the first synthesizers and happily experimented with the new Moog, ARP, Yamaha, and Sequential Circuits. He continued his studies in Music and Musicology at the prestigious Sorbonne University in Paris. A songwriter and composer, he performed his first two shows , "L'Île aux Oiseaux" (Bird Island) and "Promenade Étrange" (Strange Walk), for which the press associated him with the New Romantic movement. His illustrative and descriptive music, blending classical instruments and styles with ethereal pop, led Nathalie Marchand on Radio France to say, "On the synthesizer, Jérôme Lebaillif distills an enchanting and mysterious music." He continues his musical journey today.
